BEST THINGS TO DO IN VENICE WITH KIDS: DORSODURO DISTRICT

Every Venetian Sestiere has its own history and peculiarity. Last time we said something about San Marco; in this article we will give you suggestions and ideas for a few activities you can do with your children in the beautiful district of Dorsoduro.

  • A walk along Zattere: enjoy the stunning view on the Giudecca Canal while walking along the street. This is the perfect place to enjoy a moment of relaxation sitting in the sun and maybe having a gelato with your family.  Warning!!! Tell your kids about a wide opened mouth they need to find… it is one of the “mouths for reports” (also called “lion mouth”) that are all around the city. They were used to collect reports against people who threatened the health of “Osso Duro” district (this was the old name of Dorsoduro). This one in particular is located on the wall of the S. Maria della Visitazione curch, in Zattere.
